Ancient Monetary Metals and Alter Ego Metals

A couple kitco news stories piqued our interest today. The first is about a trove of ancient metals found in the library archives at the University of Buffalo, illustrating that precious metals have been used as money and a permanent store of value since at least 400 B.C. The other discusses a rising price and the unusual interplay between two of our favorite alter-ego metals that we started writing about last Summer with the addition of hafnium to our product line. Zirconium will be ready soon.
