Scandium in the News

Just this week, scandium made its round through the news on precious metals sites.  This little known, very rare, lightweight, corrosion resistant metal is stronger than aluminum and can be alloyed in small amounts to improve the properties of aluminum, particularly in aerospace applications. It is also used in high intensity lamps, laser systems, and solid oxide fuel cells. It is about 300 times more rare than gold by mined production. We will have our second batch of scandium ingots available later this month. Own what's rare!
