Dr. Oliver Sacks was a London born neurologist who gained international acclaim for his many books which detail his most interesting case studies while in clinical practice in New York City. The current hit series Brilliant Minds is based on case studies and publications from his life's work as are the movies Awakenings and At First Sight. He was also fascinated with chemistry and the periodic table of the elements. In 2004 he collaborated with his friend Theodore Gray and had a 1.7 pound slab of ultra-pure iridium produced. This slab was among his prized possessions. We have acquired this metallurgical marvel and iconic piece of history and just today we listed it on our website in search of the next owner of one of Dr. Sacks' greatest treasures. Own what's rare!
